So It Begins... Here's a brief description of me, this site, and what Im hoping to achieve with it.
Okay, so for my very first blog ever, let me tell you how this site came to be and a bit about myself. I'm 46, soon to be 47, a follower of Christ, a cosmetologist by trade (29 years now behind the chair), married for the second time, love plants, ALL animals, riding my bicycle, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I have a wonderful daughter who has given me two amazing grandprincesses, two dogs (a beagle named Charlie and a Pitty mix named Lucy), two indoor cats (Toni and Patrick), and 1.5 garage cats (Dobby, who was abandoned, and Creamy, the neighbor's cat). How do you end up with half a cat? Well, it's easy... the neighbor's cat stays in our warm garage during winter, and his mom pays me "cat support," LOL.
My husband is a Millwright by trade, can do anything he sets his mind to (blue-collar men are truly the best), and is also not new to marriage and has two grown sons, two granddaughters, and a grandson. Between us, the five grandkids are 16 years to 1.5 months old, so yeah, all ages and stages.
As I've said, I'm apparently in perimenopause, and I'm not loving it and all its symptoms, but that's why I'm blogging about my journey for you, so you know you're not alone. Plus, being a bit older than my brain likes to admit, I'm struggling with health and fitness this time. It's not my first rodeo, but I wanted to do it right this time, and I am.
I have ADHD, which I only found out about three years ago. My generation wasn't tested much, especially girls. But now I can explain SO much of my childhood and younger years. SO much! It's great knowing why my brain works the way it does instead of thinking there is something wrong with me. That being said, I'll try to be clear and stay on topic, but I make no promises. The "Jumble" in "A Beautiful Jumble" will be a teeny tiny look into the brain of someone with ADHD. How I process things, or not sometimes. LOL Hopefully, it will help some of you, too.
I'm sharing my health, fitness, and hormone journey candidly here, just like I do in my private time with friends or in my salon. I'll be sharing my thoughts, experiences, new products, honest reviews, and life updates along the way as well. If there is ever anything specific you guys want me to look into, try out, or research the heck out of, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'll do my absolute best.
Honestly, this might turn out to be a total failure, but you'll never know unless you give it a shot.....so here I am, giving it a shot.
I am keeping this post short on purpose because I NEED my sleep nowadays, so thank you for taking the time to check out my site, read my thoughts, try my recommendations, and interact with me. This really will be a jumble of all sorts of things, but I also believe it will be a beautiful journey as well.
